I have been running an eBay and Amazon business for 3 years now and have earned around £3500 in revenue and £1500 in profit. I am hoping to study Economics at Cambridge in 2018. Would it be worthwhile to put this in my application or is it not that relevant. I am interested in banking - mostly stocks and investment after university. I have dabbled a bit in stocks and earned a couple hundreds but also lost lots of money, is this also worthwhile to mention in an application or is it unrelated or excess.

If it's relevant, will help with your application and can be used to show that you've got relevant skills or experience then yes include it. Keep it to the point though and skip any unnecessary details. Focus on reflecting on your experience and how it is helpful.
