Baseball at Plymouth Uni?

Hello there.

I was wondering if there is a baseball team/club in operation at the university?

I am keen to play the sport having recently taken an interest in it.

If there isn't a club currently in operation I may consider trying to get one set up.

If any of you out there are interested in playing Baseball, then please post on here and/or PM me.

So if you set somethin up mate, i'm definately interested.

Although i imagine it would be very difficult to set up as facilities for baseball are very limited as its so unpopular.

I'm not so sure if I will have the time to even set something up depends on what my timetable is like. PM me or somethign and we can talk further.

I'm interested. Get on to the Plymouth area baseball association (or whatever their exact name is), they have a pitch in Central Park next to where the rugby and football teams train, that would fit the bill.

We did'nt have a baseball soc at my old uni so we usually just played on the Sunday, all we had was a bat & ball and a few jumpers for bases lol.
It's perfect for students as it's on late at night and last for ages so keeps us occupied.

I'm the same, I love watching it on the TV.

I went to a Braves game in 2006, I had such a great time that i've followed the sport ever since.

I doubt I would be any good, but I'd give it a go!

hey - I work for BUBA - the british university baseball association - we're trying to encourage universities to set up more baseball clubs so we can start a league next year -at present there are 5 active teams, but we want to expand it to 10/12, and we need keen students to start clubs.
I'm gald to see there is quite a bit of interest around the country.
If you guys are still interested, get in touch, and we can talk to your athletic union about getting you funding for equipment, or get a local club to give you some free coaching sessions to get you started.

baseball club sounds great, id join. Never played part from on games and seen bits on tv and is a fantastic sport. I hope to see one in september.
