i want to be a psychologist and for a levels i took sociology and psychlogy to try and relate to that. Some unis want biology but its not one of my strong points so im not going to choose it. I also took photgraphy (due to an interest) and my mother wants me to do english language because im good at it but i want to do media.

I know that its my decision but is media studies such a bad choice but is it better to choose a subject over interest or grades. My english teacher is also head of media and she told me that based on me and how i write i would do better in media and that its better to be happy and do ok then be bored and do well.

I know most people would tell me to do whatever i want but my mother is convincing me im making a mistake.

And i know there has been changes to media studies a level so if anyone has any info i would be grateful because my teacher said she was going too be giving me links but i think shes forgotten.

If you want to go to Uni to study psychology then they tend to want a science. Psychology does count but they lower the grades for entry if you do more than one. Media and photography could be considered to be soft subjects which may limit which universities you are able to apply to.
