Imperial College Term Dates

So wait.. school actually starts on October 2nd? And when is move-in date for all the dorms?

BTW... anyone want cheap Doom 3 ? I live in China, so I can buy the game here for like.... 10 pounds? I think they should be in english, but if not you can always install a burned english copy and use the CDKEY to play online, which is basically almost the whole purpose of D3.

Yeh when they say term starts on the 2nd that's when freshers move into halls. Freshers' week/fortnight then begins properly on the 4th I think.

So by "term date" Imperial doesn't literally mean that classes are between those dates (seems confusing). Ah well, they should have a freshers site, where they post information for incoming students (dates, tips, info, etc). Sending out flyers and leaflets through the mail is sooo outdated. The UK-famous compsci department should do something about it!

i always thought fresher's week was the week before the term officially starts, ie the week commencing 27 Sept

or have i been misled? most other unis have their freshers week during that week!
