Hiya, I'm going to start a maths degree at Warwick next year (hopefully, if I get the grades) and my end goal is to become an actuary, through a graduate training scheme. However, I know how competitive it is and I just wondered if there are any ways of getting work experience or any sort of programmes for people my age? Any sort of help would be much appreciated, thank you

I see Warwick has a placement year - that is one thing to consider. Companies like LV offer a year in industry to people who've just finished their second year, I think you can even sit one of the tests during that year... one thing to keep an eye out for anyway, would be interesting to see what other people suggest
