I'm currently in my second year at university and was hoping to transfer to another university to start a different course. I was told that I would only be eligible for two years of funding for a new course and I wouldn't be able to afford to pay for a years tuition by myself. The course that I'm taking at the moment is making me really unhappy and I'm struggling alot with it, it isn't what I was looking for in a course and is completely different to how I was expecting it to be. Any advice about what I do now?

Unfortunately there are no other sources of funding, so your options are very limited. If you really can't stick it out to the end of your current course, then you will need to work for a few years and save up the money to self-fund the first year of a new degree. It won't just be the tuition fee - you will also not get more than a minimum Maintenance Loan for that forst year, so you need to budget for paying most of your own living costs as well.
