I've got until May to decide but so far I have offers from all of the following:

    Durham
    Birmingham
    KCL
    Southampton

I've decided not to go to Southampton - I went on an open day and got the vibe that it wouldn't really be rigorous enough or what I wanted. I also don't really want to go to KCL because when I went there it had a strange vibe that I didn't like at all and felt very impersonal (although that could have just been the day, or whatever).

So that pretty much leaves Durham and Birmingham. The problem is I like them both and can't decide -.-

    Pros of Durham:
    - Course modules/structure
    - College system
    - Reputation (#2 in some UK guides, #1 in one guide for music)

    Pros of Birmingham:
    - Location
    - Facilities + teaching by the Conservatoire

I can visit again - I'd have to save up some money first to do so though. I've heard some negatives/mixed reviews about the Birmingham course from some people I know but then I can't know for certain.

Yea, it had this feel of being almost like a school but for adults?

It just didn't feel welcoming at all. Something like that. I wouldn't want to study there for 3 years.
