So,a friend of mine is currently abroad for two weeks. Last week I sent him an iMessage but it's been a week now and it still hasn't delivered. It doesn't be say delivered. Will the message expire? Will I have to send it again another time?

The message doesn't expire... it just waits until the person has a connection and then says delivered.
