I am just about to pick my subjects for my higher courses next year. I have five subjects I definitely want to do, and an additional one I would really love to do. I want to do Geography as one of my main five, but I would also love to do Spanish. As a result I want to sit six higher next year, the norm is five, but my parents think it will be too stressful. has anyone done six highers or have any opinion on Spanish vs Geography in relation to medical applications? I want to pursue medicine and cant decide which one would be more beneficial, a language or an earth science.

Either will be fine for medicine. I guess Spanish might be useful if you wanted to go on elective to e.g. South America, but that's a long way off and quite a small consideration.

I'm English so no idea about 5 vs 6 highers, sorry!
