I am in the process of learning languages hence i signed up to a website. The website allows you to talk to people and exchange languages with them.

I have exchange contact details with few people(mostly female) because i do not feel comfortable taking with the opposite sex.

This one guy who i exchange contact details with is alright but our conversations are boring and going nowhere in my opinion.

Anyway today he messages me asking 'how are you' etc

I know there is nothing wrong with this but how do i break it to him politely that i would like our conversations on skype to stop.

There is nothing wrong with this guy it is just that i find skyping him and other guys who are like 6+ years older than me awkward.

Obviously our skyping is just language exchange and nothing more, nothing personal.

I don't see why you should feel intimidated. He is in another country and does not know where you live. You are merely just exchanging languages, and I presume that he asked 'how are you' to start the conversation off, just ask him things back. If you really feel uncomfortable then tell him that you would no longer like to speak to him as he is much older than you, saying that you feel uncomfortable.
