I am 18 years old and I get on really well with this girl we are great friends only problem is she is 30. We met through work and she has done so much for me for absolutely nothing in return.

We met up last week and had dinner together sadly we had to cut in short but I wasn't embarrassed or anything to be out with her despite our age difference. Anyway since we had to cut it short she talked about going drinking with her and her friends (male and female) and I'm a bit concerned now because they're all about her age so I'd be really young compared to everyone else.

I was just wondering is anyone friends with someone with as large an age difference and was it embarrassing for you or could you look past it. I really like this girl and I've even thought of pursuing a relationship with her but I'm not sure once again the age difference just seems to be an issue. Thanks for any help.

Probably best to be just friends. At the ages you're at you'll be at different stages of life.
