Hi, I've passed my special constable interview and after I submit my medical forms I expect to take a hair drug test in the next few weeks I think, I also think I smoked a few off a joint before christmas (mid december), but almost nothing in the months before that, not habitual or heavy, I also had my hair trimmed in Jan. Will I be okay for a drugs test? If I I'm honest and admit past one-time use will I still be okay to get it even if i get a positive/negative result?

Hair drug testing goes back much longer than urine drug testing. Because when you ingest drugs it goes into the hair follicle and then into the strands themselves and they stay there pretty much forever.

But they'll probably cut from the root like 2 inches which will show approximately 4 months or so.
