For all his many, many faults I don't think Corbyn is a weak person. The amount of abuse he gets from even his own supporters shows a fair bit of steel. I remember Cameron saying he was impressed that Corbyn appears un put off by his PMQs performances which is often s daunting experience. I see myself as quite a steadfast person but I dont think I could put up with what Corbyn has.
He has in this instance rightly concluded that he can't really credibly discipline people overly harshly when he was a serial rebel.
