Greeting everyone, I'm currently studying Level 3 BTEC Media and for my current unit i require some responses from an online forum, so any responses would be greatly appreciated.
What I'd like to know is what are your views upon the British Film Industry?
Do you feel they receive enough funding in order to create high quality feature length films?
And do you believe that Brexit has affected the funding of British films in any way?
Thank for your help

Hi there. Personally I really like what the BFI does, they really push newer, independent filmmakers to the spotlight. It also creates a lot of revenue for the UK.
Personally I think the BFI is quite under funded. If you look at the type of budget a hollywood film will get compared to a British film, you can see that British films might be a higher quality f they were better funded.
Yes i most definitely think brexit has effected the BFI, as it has effected all businesses. Due to the pound dropping in value, most people won't really be inclined to help the BFI as main stream media doesn't come from it.

I agree with Pete, the BFI do a great job at helping newer film makers get a breakthrough and make progress in the industry. I believe they should be funded more. Brexit will definitely have a negative effect on UK film funding.
