    Is it possible?
I'm in the 2nd term of my first year of uni, the University I'm at is amazing, the teaching is great, as is the campus, and I have already made many great friends, however, I am finding it very hard to be so far away from home, and would like to transfer to a university closer to home. (I also feel like being closer to family might help with a more personal problem too.)

Also, if it is possible, would I need to start in first year again, due to the structure of firs years in Scottish unis? It just would be a shame to think that I'd have wasted a year of my life, and it would be strange to be at a different stage to all my friends at home.
If you really want to transfer then yes it's possible.

You would probably start in Year 2 at a Scottish university, but only the universities themselves can confirm that.
