We were playing football in P.E. yesterday. I saw my teammate in space and passed the ball to him on the left wing. Then, some gay guy, playing in centre back on the opposing team was doing his best to try and tackle him. My friend ran as fast as he could to our own net because he was "worried" that he might get touched up. The teacher yelled at him really loudly and he had to sit out. When my friend went inside, the headteacher said you're not welcome to attend school until further notice.

    Is this really that bad?

Some more information might be helpful, I'm not entirely sure I understand what happened?

Dude, there's next to no information about what happened. Quite difficult to tell if you leave a lot of it out. Because it sounds like a couple of things are missing.

You haven't said enough about what actually happened. Going only off what you have written: Yes, that comes across as a homophobic action. Like a guy running away from the first straight girl he sees for "fear of getting touched up". Doesn't happen, does it? Why should it happen the other way around.

Your friend sounds like a ****, the school sounds like it overreacted slightly.

    Errrrm it does actually....

I remember running away from the creepy straight girl the year below me who kept following me around and trying to touch me inappropriately.

Apart from then everyone else found it hilarious

Yeah but the difference is that you were getting followed by a girl who actually kept trying to touch you up, this guy was just playing football

I am truly sorry, peng girls should be left to their beliefs unmolested by others
