That doesn't relate to Islam at all....
Apart from that, where the hell do you find these people :lolwut: and how exactly did they express these views
Uh yes it does when they use Quranic scripture to justify it (same with ISIS - denying the link with them and Islam is absurd)

Uh they were at uni so a "normal and ordinary muslim".

Uh no mate. Since when does the quran say take offence to the union jack flag. If I took a violent line out of harry potter can I rightfully say that all of the harry potter series is violent and harmful to children and adults? Just because they take things out of context it doesn't justify it at all.

Read the quran for yourself and be the verdict, you are surrounded my many
"normal and ordinary muslims" if they were all like that then surely they would all be terrorists as well.

For me they are esp as I watched the films first - the books answered so many questions and covered some of the plot holes on the films

If they go to a mosque it'll be fine, but they shouldn't be allowed to pray in the hall. If they do I would sing church songs.

My question is as a catholic what gives you the right to say when and where an individual from any faith can pray! If they want to pray that is up to them they have the right to just as much as you do as they are would be paying their rent just like you!

Live and let live to be honest.

No one is trying to force anyone else to change their lifestyle, just live alongside people with different views.

Reminds of how one guy hated drinking contests, and people would also pressure him to participate (like anyone else)... and at some stage he figured out he could get most people to leave him alone by saying he's Muslim, though some didn't believe him.

So yeah... I'm pretty sure the odds are people will give you your space, if that's what you want. Although every uni is different.

Muslims would pray in the privacy of their bedroom and it's a quiet act, I'm sure you would not be disturbed.
I think this is generally true. The loud ones that do it in the street generally do it out of some form of 'protest' or to make some other statement, or simply to be provocative towards locals. This has been happening in France mostly. I've not heard of it in the UK.

No, you can't pray in the middle of the traffic for example. But if someone is really stubborn about being obnoxious I might recommend the motorway to them. At night. Fortune favors the bold after all.

You'll be fine. It's your own choice who you choose to socialise with, you'll mingle in with people like yourself. I lived at home for uni but still have had a lot of freedom. Even so, I always just go home and never hang around in uni, I think it really is easy to just do your own thing
