Talk about Old Labour - trade unions, class-based politics etc., and how they affected the working-class vote. Discuss how New Labour after Thatcher abandoned their class-based roots with the rhetoric of "we're all middle class now." Talk about UKIP, populism, why the working-class have moved to the right due to their resentment of 'the establishment.' Argue that parties and movements preaching 'power to the people' and 'down with the establishment' woo the working class. Say this is evidence that social class is one of the key determinants.

But then as a rebuttal talk about the media - how Murdoch swayed an election outcome from labour to conservative (look it up), tabloids blabbering about immigration etc.

This should be a good general outline.
