As I see it, the canon thing only applies to actual legislation passed irl and not to actions of the rl government, so while Trump still wants a state visit to our hypothetical country, the invitation is non-existent.
My interpretation is that RL legislation applies. Of course, that doesn't make Trump invited.

    I vote aye though.

I see it as applying to everything unless clearly contradicted, the fact that you lot love commenting on even relatively minor terrorist incidents, which certainly do not fall in the category of legislation, and we use IRL economic data (even when we screw up the economy), which does not fall into the category of legislation, and consider RL foreign policy as canon irrespective of whether it pertains to legislation or not, suggests that the extension and acceptance of the invitation are absurd. I believe you yourself have spoken of the special relationship with regards to the game, for there to be no contradiction we either have to say there is no special relationship, or or Trump is coming in June.

I refer to the ruling of the Speaker on the matter found here: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho...postcount=1055

Unless you put out a statement declaring the visit cancelled it is happening in TSR land.

Despite no official statement having been made. Imagine if any comment made by a minister IRL was on official statement.

I would imagine the prime minister standing up and saying that no.10 hasn't done something would be taken as an official statement

As would I, unless saying something to the press is now considered more official than saying it to Parliament.

Nay, why should we let a 70 year old diplomatic nightmare for the self crowned greatest democracy on earth that condones state sponsored murder and torture, we need to do something to boycott his decisions as president of the US, and not letting him visit is a start.
