Okay so let me just get straight to it, im 18 female my family think im some sort of a sociopath or have some kind of personality disorder and my teachers also think this in class i rarely talk to anyone becasue i have severe anxiety that creates a barrier from me and others which i hate as some days im social some days im not.

However though my teachers analyse my behaviour in class and write stuff down and i must add i am not being paranoid because i've had a teacher sit opposite me and analyse my behaviour every move i make is analysed literally no exaggeration i feel like they treat me very differently compared to other students and i hate it soo much. i hate how teachers assume just because youre reserved in class youre automatically mental i feel like these labels are really affecting the way i feel in college and towards my education.
    .
At home my older sister assumes im mentally disturbed however i am only going through depression i am currently under so much pressure to get work done and now i have my family accusing me this hurts me deeply becasue i thought i could trust my own family but i guess not ..

Your family loves you, it's clear that they deeply care about you, as well as everyone else who wants to make things better for you. But it seems they don't understand what you're going through. You are the only one who can explain your feelings, tell them there's a misunderstanding and that you're finding it hard to cope with your anxiety.

Know that you're not alone, it's best that you seek professional help, it makes a huge difference and a specialist can also tell your family what's really happening.

Talking to a psychologist who can diagnose mental illnesses will make you feel so much better and you can get help that will improve your current situation. Finding the right treatment for you such as psychotherapy will certainly help with your depression, but you also have to take self-help steps and positive lifestyle change so you can handle the stress and the pressure you're experiencing.

I'm going through serious anxiety and depression at the moment too. I'm extremely paranoid about things and confused. I've really been questioning if i'm mentally disturbed. My grandma suffers from bipolar and schizophrenia and it makes me wonder if that's what I'm experiencing.

Are you currently under the care of anyone for your mental health difficulties? If not, it sounds like it would really help. It could also help reassure those around you as to what's happening. It sounds like they're really worried about you and are trying to help, but aren't necessarily going about it in the right way
