Id be grateful if people could help me analyse these quotes and give me their ideas.
What can I say about them ???

    - " Proud of his skill, to reach a chosen point".
    - " Strode after me. With trembling oars I turned,"
    - " Like living men, moved slowly through the mind
By day, and were a trouble to my dreams"

    - " Proud of his skill, to reach a chosen point".
This bit basically is saying that he was 'proud' of himself, both of his rowing but you could also relate it to him being proud of stealing the boat and thus presents the protagonist as a bit over-confident (obviously something which is contrasted later on).
You could also note the change to third person narrative here.

    - " Strode after me. With trembling oars I turned,"
'Strode' is personification. It emphasises the power of nature and the fear of the boy, that he feels he is being chased after by the mountain.
'Trembling' really reinforces how scared he is of what he has seen and you could note 'turned' could be connoting the turning point in the poem, at whicch the boy's whole perpective on nature has changed.

    - " Like living men, moved slowly through the mind
By day, and were a trouble to my dreams"
'slowly' shows how tormented he is by his experience, and 'through the mind' tells the audience that he is mentally scarred, but also suggests that what he is going through is all in his head, a figment of his imagination.
'Trouble to my dreams' emphasises the significance of the impact that nature has had on him. It seems inescapable, even when he is asleep he is still thinking of what happened.

    Hope this helps
