The title says most of it. I am quite interested in ITMB, although the job prospects aren't heavily to my liking. I want to become a software engineer, however, i prefer studying ITMB over cs. I sometimes see software engineer careers from an ITMB degree, yet it is rare and most people go into business jobs rather than IT jobs.

the problem with ITMB is it has very little technical courses. in a software engineering interview you're expected to write algorithms on the white board and to write efficient ones you need to understand data structures and algorithms. of course there's nothing stopping you from buying an algorithms book and learning that way but it isn't an easy topic.

I realised that ITMB degrees from most unis are about 70% business and 30% cs/it. However, I am most probably going to attend queen mary where the degree is 2:1 cs:business. You can check out the modules here: http://www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/...ses/89609.html
