How to meet more people at uni? Watch

I am in my 2nd year of uni and while I do have friends, I would also like to meet someone to start a relationship. Everyone told me to join societies which I did in September and I still regularly go to them and I did ask someone out from one of the societies but got rejected and I am not close with many people there. I joined tinder and got a lot of matches but nothing happened with any of them. I think it is a bit too late to join another society so I was wondering how I could meet someone at uni? Thanks

I can be quite shy so I don't think I could just approach someone at a pub.
