I was looking at AS-Chemistry AQA papers and they look much easier than AS-Chemistry WJEC papers, just not fair at all. And the difference between them is huge!
Same here, AS Maths on WJEC is harder than Edexcel and WJEC AS English Langauge (Wales) is at least twice as hard as AQA AS English Langauge.

I really don't see how WJEC can get away with this

And it must be the word on the mark scheme, a slight variation and they won't give you the marks; it's complete bullsh*te.

It's funny because the old-spec chem papers for WJEC were quite good, then the new spec came and :innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent: me.

It's probably gonna be :innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent: again this week and in the summer.

I think all the exam boards were ordered to make chemistry and biology more maths intensive; the funny thing is though that people who took A Level further maths struggle at times with the calculations in chemistry; the buffer ones can get quite tricky

    WJEC by far.

    AS Maths:

-Add things which Edexcel don't even cover at AS
    -Terrible layout of exam paper

    AS English Language:

    -Give 1h 45 mins for a paper which should be 2h 30m
-AQA gives 1h 30 mins for the first question of WJEC's 1h 45min paper (and doesn't have another question) whereas you've only got 1h 45 min to do the 1h 30 min AQA question and another 20 mark question with WJEC

    Moral of the story:

    AVOID WJEC (Wales spec)
Also, just discovered that unlike other boards WJEC doesn't include the statistical tables in their formula booklet and you or your school/college has to PURCHASE them.

    Makes things difficult if self-studying.

I think I speak for everyone when I'm saying AQA are the coolest, professional most nice Exam board.

AQA just love to change the rules of the exams for languages perhaps every two weeks or so... makes it difficult to learn how to do things as it's likely they'll decide against allowing you to do that in the real thing

OCR are just nazis when it comes to exam timings... you want me to write a History essay in 20 minutes? Ok then Also, just putting "candidates might write *insert very vague point here*" on a mark scheme makes it incredibly difficult to come to a mark if you're doing it yourself
