Shows how poor the quality of players is now when we have to include Busquets and have a struggle to replace him compared to a couple years back when you had Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldinho, Davids, Kaka, Seedorf, Bergkamp, Keane, Viera, Gerrard, Alonso, Lampard .. the list goes on.

Take any from that list and it's not wrong. Modric is the best midfielder in the world.

For starters, you said 'a couple years back' and then started mentioning playings who were in their primes in the 90s FFS.

Too many to name! Personally I'd go for Iniesta, Thiago, Kanté, Modric, De Bruyne/Kroos.

    Pogba
    Iniesta
    Modric
    Willian

It was strange that Kante and Pogba never played together In The Euro 2016 final. Kante didn't start...
