    I'm struggling so much with it, I don't even know when to use sin or cos when resolving! The exam is only a few months away. I cannot do any of it. Does anyone who has been in the same situation have any advice? Thank you

    For every force you have to resolve, draw a separate triangle diagram with the force on the hypotenuse, and the horizontal and vertical forces on the other two sides. Mark the angle and then think about SOHCAHTOA

    x=hcosa
    y=hsina

    where x is the horizontal component and y is the vertical.
