Its being going on for a while now, have yet to see my GP. Basically every morning when I wake up, the area upper right of my right ear on my head is painful, at the scalp and the hair, if that makes sense. I sleep on my right side if that makes a difference.

Would anyone be able to find out why this is happening?

    Thank you in advanced

If you sleep on your right side, and are getting pain on the right side of your head, it's most probably related. It might be your pillow is too hard or lumpy, or your mattress is too firm. But try adjusting things like that before seeing a GP because that's what they will tell you to do initially anyway.
