CGP books english lit and lang

I'm seriously bad at English but desperately want to get at least a 5. If I learn and memorise the CGP text guides and the language book would you say I'm guaranteed a pass?

my teacher said that if we do no revison, at leats memorise quotes - CGP, The Quotation Bank, and York Notes were ones she said were best for Lit. She said watch the films but I'm not sure which ones - the luhrmann Romeo and Juliet was quite good but hated the bbc inspector calls.
