Edexcel suck!

Has anyone else complained to edexcel this summer? If so did you know that you had to write to some special complaints person to have it taken into account? After sending numerous emails with no reply i called them today and they told me that the only complaints taken into account are the ones received by this person, however the man on the phone gave me the same address which is on the website, which he said wasnt it! ARGH! STRESS! does anyone else just wish edexcel would die! ( not to sound like crazy person there)

Oh come on cool guy edexcel isn't all that bad. I'm kind of enjoying studying with them, the way the exams are set up make things much more enjoyable.
But I understand how you feel, what your going through can be pretty annoying. :smile:

I've never done an Edexcel exam. But last year the GCSE Art results from Edexcel were weird at my school.

kinda long story but basically they asked something not on the syllabus and it was worth 2/3 of the marks on the paper! they also give shite RE coursework marks i got 60/100 and yet cambridge thought it was good enough to give me a place and my teachers all graded it as an A! Thus i rant on about the shiteness of edexcel alot

Yeah they can be stingy when it comes to RS coursework but consider yourself lucky; 2 perfectly able girls in my group were given Us (they had theirs sent to a different examiner to the rest of us).

If that is honestly the case then perhaps that examiner should be investigated!

although in some aspects I agree that some exam boards leave a lot to be desired and have my own grudges against them, i wrote an english essay which was an excellent essay worthy of top marks amongst teachers and independent readers, however, as some of the criteria for success (known as assessment objects such as genre and context) werent met, i wasnt given the full mark. secondly, your UMS marks are scaled depending on how other people sitting the exam did, so you mark may get reduced. apart from those slight defences, i agree completely, EdExcel are knobs and should be lynched!

i must admit that i do prefer other exam boards like AQA, i DO as well dislike Edexcel. They are official idiots.
I wonder if Edexcel themselves realise this???

Edexcel have been on the news in the past for messing up exam results. I personally wasn't affected though.

Edexcel suck!
