University says that it takes 120 CATS points from the OU for entry

You mean entry into the first year of a brick university degree? Many universities accept OU (CATS) credits for entry (as a sort of substitute for A levels), some places only require 60 credits but others require 120 - email the admissions tutor and ask. It is important that however many credits you do, you complete them all in one academic year, otherwise you won't have enough funding to complete your degree.
