Saturday 15th September

I don’t know if your Gran warned you but it’s really cold in Aberdeen… You need to warm up. Leave the heating off though kids as Liquid Nightclub have got more heat than a lorry load of dodgy gas fires. AND THIS IS JUST THE WARM UP! On this wonderful, joyous and incredibly fresh Saturday Night we are offering you the chance to ease you into the party mood! You are cordially invited to come and dance to the most danceable tunes ever written in Aberdeen’s busiest Nightclub. This Saturday for your auditory and visual pleasure we will serve up two luxurious rooms of music, one playing chart, dance and R ‘n’ B and the other playing all of your beloved party classics. Drink prices are significantly reduced prior to 11:30pm!

Sunday 16th September
The Official Welcome Party

Forget the rest! Enjoy the best! Wear a vest! Be impressed! Build a nest! Erm… The Official Welcome Party is here to signal that the Freshers Week 2007 is officially underway! Like a musical monster, Liquid are terrorising the moveable limbs in your body with two rooms of unforgiving grooves! All the tunes you know and love will be filtered through Liquid’s amazing sound system across both rooms including party classics from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s in Room 2 and commercial chart, dance and R’n’B in the main room! There will be drinks promos all night, so drink responsibly and don’t phone your mum!


Monday 17th September
University Challenge – AU VS RGU

On the whole Aberdeen is a friendly place. The locals have a disposition akin to that of a sedated puppy - namely lovely, friendly and relaxed. However, there is a rivalry in this city that makes all individuals involved boil with vitriolic fury. The rivalry of which we speak is between the University of Aberdeen and the Robert Gordon’s University. As if it wasn’t enough that you guys compete in sporting events, you now have to compete at Liquid every week too! And you could be the chef who prepares this taste sensation!

University Challenge at Liquid Nightclub pits members of both institutions against each other across a number of hilarious games that are fun to play, and even better to watch! Come along and fight for your University!

Tuesday 18th September
Fat Tuesday’s – Foam Party

There is a new night launching at Liquid in Freshers Week, and you can be the first to get your mitts on it! Fat Tuesdays are finally here and they promise to be a veritable feast for your senses! During Fat Tuesdays Liquid Nightclub recreate the inimitable Mardi Gras atmosphere, as they serve up a feast of New Orleans flava with a terrific range of cocktails and soulful tunes. For those of you who are clubbing purists there will also be a healthy dose of foam for you to splash around in too! Be greedy, be spoiled, be happy… Fat Tuesdays are here for you!

Wednesday 19th September
Planet

As Duran Duran famously stated, “This is Planet Earth”. And you know… they weren’t wrong! Speaking of Planets, did you know that this particular Wednesday Night organised by our good friends at Liquid Nightclub is THE busiest student night in Scotland!? Well it is, and we sincerely hope that you won’t buck this trend as it’s the best claim to fame Aberdeen have had since erm… Annie Lennox!

Planet sees Liquid open up a THIRD room offering more options for fun than a collaboration between Santa and a Genie! Room 1 sees the DJ emit pulsating dance-friendly tunes whilst students get to ride an irate Rodeo Bull! Room 2 emits the most danceable party classics! And there's even a brand new cocktail bar! Drinks promos will be available all night so try and ensure that you remember which room your friends are in when the Rodeo Bull bucks you through a window!

Thursday 20th September
Skint / Waster

Liquid Nightclub know what it’s like to be a student. They understand the academic pressures, the anxiety of being away from home, the stress of building up new friendship networks… Oh! Wait a minute! No they don’t! They just know that students are skint – as in, have no money, no cash, no monies, no dollar – and here’s what they plan to do about it!

Skint blasts into Thursday nights offering those students on a budget to have some serious fun! Cheap entry, entertainment and £1 beverages offer even those a diet of baked beans and super noodles the chance to indulge in some tremendously bespoke clubbing!

Friday 21st September
Liquid High School Reunion

What are your memories of school? P.E. in the rain, glaring eyes in the showers… or maybe that was just me! Anyway, one thing that everyone loved about school was the disco! Liquid are clever chaps and as such they’re riding this cash cow to Freshers Week Paradise! All the best retro tunes from the nineties and early noughties will soundtrack the festivities as you and your newfound buddies jostle about on the dancefloor to some seriously infectious pop music. There’s no need to hang outside the off-license though as Liquid has a fully operational bar complete with drinks promos for you to enjoy. There is FREE ENTRY before 11pm if your attire consists of academic-themed garments. Top of the class!

Saturday 22nd September
The Big Night Out

I’ve got a Peace Lilly at home. I call it “Beautiful” because he is just that. With all of his green chlorophyll enriched leaves and lovely white flowers, he is an aesthetically pleasing friend that can sooth my woes. I’ll tell you this though… If I wasn’t banned from Liquid I’d eat the wee bugger to get to have one wee gander at their Saturday Night dance floor. Woah Mama! Remember when you were young and you used to look at people in the Underwear section of catalogues… Well it’s like that catalogue has come to life! Aesthetic splendour and sonic majesty a-go-go! Wooh Wooh! Here comes the party bus jump on board and sit on the top deck kids it’s well better than watching rubbish telly and I need to breathe now and try and come to terms with just how exciting Saturday Nights at Liquid are… phew…

Slumberland - The Final Fling Pyjama Party

THIS IS THE BIG ONE!!! The last night of Freshers Week 2007! So far we have seen University warfare, Mardi Gras, foam and school uniforms a-go-go… but what next?

Pyjamas.

Now is the time to truly make yourself feel at home by wearing your bed-wear in your new favourite nightclub! This will be the ultimate sleepover, but without the sleeping - so more of an “Over” really! Anyway… This is the perfect close to the festivities of Freshers Week allowing you to go home and just fall already dressed for your snug bed! Equipped with slippers and comfortable trousers you’ll be able to pull some super-slick moves on the dancefloor and bedazzle the sandman with your refusal to give into his demands! You owe it to yourself to have one final night of hedonism in Freshers Week and this is it! It’s been a great week guys! Well done
