Is it worth doing the old syllabus past papers for English Language? I'm not sure how much has changed between the old system and the new, so whether it would be a waste of time or not :/

For lit, it's easy enough to make up your own questions and see how you cope with them :P

I can't measure myself up against a mark scheme then though Plus it's language i'm worried about, not lit...

I don't know how much the requirements have changed so how relevant the old mark schemes will be

For AQA it would mostly be a waste of time. The only similarity is the old Argue / Persuade / Advise writing task. For this, the mark scheme is roughly similar, with a strong focus on structure and the writing fulfilling its purpose.

Thanks. I'm on WJEC, but it's probably quite similar across the boards I guess?
