    Hello all!

Just stumbled across this forum while researching and it seems like the place to ask all my unanswered questions. I've been browsing websites for an hour now trying to answer one single thing and so far I have not gotten a definitive answer from any source. I rely on your help and I will be immensely thankful! Here's my situation:

I'm a Bulgarian (EU member) high school student in 11th grade from a language school interested to study graphic design in Scotland. What I'm concerned about is tuition fees and I don't know if I'm eligible to study for free. How do tuition fees work? Who pays them? Do I have to pay them back? How do I earn free tuition?

Thanks in advance to anybody who gives me information! Cheers!

Scottish universities are free for EU (and Scottish) students.

For Scottish universities EU students don't pay a tuition fee.

For English, Welsh and NI universities EU students pay a tuition fee but can apply for a student loan to cover the fees which is only repayable after graduation when you earn above a certain threshold.

Wow that was the fastest reply on a forum I've received! Thanks! So they free by default for EU students and I don't have to apply to SAAS or anything like that?

You have to apply to SAAS, and if you qualify they pay the fees on your behalf.
