I'm currently in Year 11 studying GCSE English Language and Literature, I would like to get at least a grade 6 in English Language but I'm currently under performing. In my first mock I obtained a Grade 6 however my school is know for inaccurate grade boundaries, I would say I'm working around a grade 5. I was wondering if anyone knows any good English Language books, I searched for a few on amazon but I can't exactly decide which one to choose.
These are my options:
1)New Grade 9-1 GCSE English Language and Literature Complete Revision & Practice (with Online Edn)
This one seems helpful as it contains both English Language and English Literature in one book with revision and practice, the problem is, since they had to combine both books they may be lacking practice questions and notes
2)New GCSE English Language and Literature Revision Guide - for the Grade 9-1 Courses
3)REVISE Edexcel GCSE English Language Revision Workbook: For the 9-1 Exams (REVISE Edexcel GCSE English 2015)
EDIT: I'm doing AQA by the way.
Thanks.

York Notes 9-1 for each of your studied books are helpful. I used them for all of my set texts and got a 9 in my English Literature mock. I don't have a book for Language, but a general one should be fine - maybe do practices and get your teacher to mark them?
