I want to study a film-related degree, but I don't know where. All I know is that I can't afford London, that I want a practical-focused course that doesn't leave theory behind and that I don't have a portfolio (ergo can't study in where portfolio is required). I'm going to apply this month, and these are my options so far:

-Southampton Solent (Film or Film Production)
- Bournemouth (Film production + Cinematography or Film)
-Essex (Film Studies)
-Sunderland (Digital Film Production. Although I'd rather study on the south, but it's also an option).
-Winchester (Film Studies + Film Production. Why is this university so unknown? I love its curriculum.)
-Staffordshire (not so sure about this one).

I want your thoughts on these universities, and if you could recommend any others, that would be great. Thanks!
