AQA A-level Chemistry new 1 7405/1 - 13 & 19 Jun 2017 [Exam Discussion]

Hey Guys, February half term is approaching and i couldn't find a thread for the new spec aqa A2 exams commencing in June so thought i'd make one.

Those are all the resources i'm currently aware of. Feel free to let me know if you have any of your own you wouldn't mind sharing.
I'd also recommend getting the official revision guide, it's quite good.

Hopefully we can all use this thread to help each other get the grades we want!
i'm aiming for an A in Chemistry. Good luck to everyone sitting the exam this June!

Watched!
By the way, Chemrevise might be a good site to add onto the helpful websites section. Also, E Rintoul is a good youtube channel that has some new spec videos.
And I'm aiming for an A too!

Yes it does, in the Technocrat notes originals it gives a breakdown of what content is AS (Year 1) and which is Year 2, in the contents page.
Has anybody done paper 3 yet, I found it so difficult .. I got 36/60 in section A practicals bit ... anybody has any resources where I can practise questions like these
How are you guys revising? Are you revising past papers?

I'm revising each topic using notes from Chemrevise/my own posters/revision cards then doing topic specific exam questions doing a few AS papers each week but will be doing more past papers from Easter - I do the papers from this site: http://www.a-levelchemistry.co.uk/a-level-assessment-points-and-practice-papers.html
The guy who made the papers claims the papers include every (relevant to new spec, of course) exam question from 2002 - He also has some 'assessed homeworks' & topic tests for each chapter too.

It's the synoptic paper so anything from the whole A level & its focus will be practical skills. It has quite a lot of multiple choice in the second half as well.

Thank you!
hi, im here hoping that someone else feels the same as i do... i am struggling so much with chemistry at the moment and need a B to get into Loughborough university. in my mock exams, we used the set 1 specimen papers and I found them ridiculously challenging. this spec seems so much nastier than the old spec.
i feel like i spend all of my time revising chemistry, using my textbook, watching videos, making posters, doing past paper questions.. but im not improving.
is anyone else struggling or is everyone feeling confident? i hate the thought of having no idea what the exam will be like.
