How are the essay evaluation points marked?Watch this thread
As you probably know, the exams are very time constrained and I don't know how much detail you should include in the evaluation points.
My Psychology teacher has said that you can only get 2 marks per evaluation point no matter how much detail you include, so you have to write 5 evaluation points in order to get full marks (since there's a 6:10 split between description marks and evaluation marks).
I'm finding that I don't have time to write the fifth evaluation point, and if I do, the rest aren't very detailed and so I don't get the marks for them.
We've been told to follow the P.E.E. structure for each evaluation point but when I do this, I barely have time to write the fourth evaluation point, never mind a fifth one! Would writing three evaluation points and one in depth evaluation point (for example, talking about how there's research support for a theory which increases it's validity but then talking about how this research support is based in western cultures and so has a cultural bias and can't be generalised across all cultures) make up for it?
