Yeah no worries, deep fried crispy mealworms probably decent tbf, can imagine them as the protein in a stir fry. They're an incredibly cheap source of animal protein since they can eat so many waste byproducts of other foodstuffs.

It's funny isn't it because they probably have the same consistency as tofu, but seem worse because they wriggle.
Small bugs. Deep fried. And seasoned. But big bugs like tarantulas, scorpions and dung beetles? I'd rather just make my peace with God...
I think I'm more for the bigger tarantula and scorpion bugs myself. I've had deep fried soft shell crab, which to be fair, is pretty much the same thing and really nice.
Well if the bugs could be processed -ie completely changed in appearance and loads of sugar and/or salt added among other things of course-and well advertised perhaps others might be tempted.
