Do things get better when you're in university?

I don't know why but, despite the opportunities I have and the grades I'm achieving, I don't see the point in life. I guess the only thing I do is work. I have no friends. Just people I know and follow about. I can tell that they think I'm weird. The only time I make them laugh is when I make a fool of my self but then I realise they are laughing AT me not WITH me. The rest of the time they talk about doing things outside of school (which I cannot do since I have to stay at home for most of the time).
So yeah. I think that I don't have a life despite the fact that I'm living. My childhood was restricted and so is my adolescence....
Does it get better in uni? Given that things are changing quickly will it last? Can I make up for all that lost time?
Before uni I was a loner really and only chatted with friends during breaks and I didn't do many activities outside of gaming. whilst I'm still rather introverted at uni I socialise a lot more and I've met far more people in joining a tae kwon doe society (joined gaming but I don't do much outside of a tournament in that). There's a lot more freedom to what you can do compared to before. Also there is a much larger variety of people that you will meet but not of the negative kind (minus *******s who get drunk at 3PM) so you are more likely to meet people you connect with well.

But is it all worth it?
Why am I alive?
University was really good for me because it gave me and my parents space. Things were very strained in our house due to my mental health issues and my parents ignorance and lack of support, but going to university forced distance between us and as a result our relationship improved. That being said, university isn't a magic cure and sometimes it can be a struggle. It enables you to live fully, make new friends, actually be the person you want to be, it makes you grow up as you have to do your own washing, cooking cleaning etc. I did find university very hard at times, although I received good support.

Err yes it is.
Being at uni isn't a magic fix but it will give you much more freedom and space to do things your way and a fresh start to try and be the person you want to be.
Parents And mollycoddling lol no one cares make sure You go absolutely mental to get it out of your system And become a normal functioning human again.
