#grumble# Over two weeks now since I did that MCQ...and still the marks haven't turned up. It's read by a computer! Someone I talk to on TSR from another uni got their multiple choice exam results back the next day

I know I did bad in that one so this tension is pissing me off! :p:

A university library had to be evacuated and bomb disposal experts called after a suspect bag was found this afternoon.

Police cordoned off a 400-metre radius around the library at the University of Kent in Canterbury after the call from staff at about 2.30pm.

The disruption came at the height of exam time with many students still on campus.

Bomb disposal officers arrived on the scene shortly after 4pm.

Police spokesman Jane Walker said a number of officers were on the scene but could not confirm what the package was.

Investigations are underway.

 it has that effect on most potential students, i saw it only for an hour, it was snowing and freezing cold but i just knew.

yes, it was a shame that it was raining so much yesterday
but there was one point where the sun broke through and I was standing in front of the templeman library looking down at the cathedral basking in sunlight, quite the experience

Alas you've fallen for the same trap I did.

Just because it's green, doesn't mean it isn't ****.

And overpriced at the same time.

As you may have noticed I'm usually mellow (if nervous) with occasional moments of mania :teeth:

But what is your thought about the essentials shop? :p:

it did look boring i have to admit but i thought that was only due to it being exam season
is it that bad at other times too?

You think it's boring here?! Come to our corridor (S2W, Rutherford) and we'll turn that yawn upside down. Or something.

Well for the non-alcohol drinking, non-clubbing person it can be a little difficult. That said it's a little town so what do you really expect?

My days usually tend to go like this, uni-town-uni-bar at night, uni-town-uni-bar at night, and so forth. We've ventured to Whitstable a few times but there's only fish and bowling there.

However, also bare in mind that i come from London, a HUGE town so i'm used to the West End, going to more than one shopping centre, and going 'up town'. If you come from a small place, Canterbury might be exciting for you.

But can i just say, I still LOVE it here! I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else!!

I visited Wednesday and I actually really liked it
We visited the town centre and yeah it was nice, but seems like it would be quiet at night.
I'm from Chelmsford though which has over double the population of Canterbury with lots and lots of clubs and bars anyway.

Writers block? :p:

It's a good uni, it's just that I allow the little bad things to build up before letting out my frustration on here

However, a large large number of fresher week events revolve around alcohol just so you know Kent n00bs :p: ;yes;
