hey, i accidentally clicked on yes to have my duo photo taken when i arrive (i then pressed continue accidentally too)
now when i go back to that page and try to upload my photo, i can't and i wondered if someone knew if i could do anything now or if im just going to have to wait until freshers to have it taken
please answer soon, the cut-offs today :frown:

You could call them up and have it revoked, but it's a bit late to do that now I think. You're probably going to have to wait now :tongue:

DUO wise: my enrolment isn't complete because you need to verify your identity at the college, it says "sorry you don't appear to be enrolled in any college etc etc etc", I don't have an email address, and the module registration page says it isn't complete even though I sent the module options form off before the deadline and have the confirmation email...and this is all okay?

I haven't forgotten to whisper a vital password to it? Or sacrifice a few kittens/small children as an offering?

I'm guessing as it doesn't recognise that I'm part of a college I won't be able to find the greatly anticipated room numbers list when it surfaces either? I still haven't received any letter telling me I've been rolled into a shared room so was hoping that DUO could exterminate my last shred of uncertainty.

It takes 48 hours or so to show the e-mail tab and presumably do the rest also.

I know...this is really annoying..some of us finalists still don't know where in College we are living this year! College admin are really slow at things like this...when it does surface I can check where you are if you like...if you feel that you want to disclose your full name to me lol!

Should I bring my wetsuit over to Durham? I enjoy kayaking and canoeing, but I don't know how much of it I'll be doing- what are the clubs like? Can you borrow wetsuits? Cause I'm coming over from N.Ireland, and it'd take up a fair bit of space! Thanks anyone who answers :smile:

my doctor said I should do some pilates/yoga type thingy and I'd rather do one with the uni rather than one in the Durham area. Mostly because I cant find one!

Yoga soc definitely exists because they use Leech Hall in Johns every Sunday....this might have changed though. Freshers fair? Or try emailing them!

I probably will just email and see. It's more the pilates I'm interested in/supposed to do, so will probably need to ask anyway if they do those sorts of classes anymore. I will drop in at freshers fair too. Although I remember when I went as a freshers I was so bloody overwhelmed I didnt' see a thing!

It'll depend on which college and which accommodation you'll be living in. In Butler, I'd say that there was about a foot of room under the beds.

I've been in rows in both Grey and Van Mildert, and both had under the bed storage built in. Then again, in another block in Grey they had beds that didn't have any under the room storage, but were very close to the ground so some things didn't fit under there.

It is specific to college, but remember it may also be specific to a certain part/block of your college.

i was thinking the same thing! is there anywhere nearish to durham on the coast which does sea kayaking? i can't seem to find a kayaking club at the university..
