I know that there is a post about the UMS scores for Maths, but there hasn't been a response on it for a month so I was hoping someone here would have an answer. When you have filled in the form for Durham about you Maths and Further Maths UMS marks and sent it, do you get an email letting you know that they have received it? I filled it out but I want to make sure that they got it.

I applied for physics last year and had to fill in an online form of Physics and Maths UMS; I got an automated response. Then again, my form was handled by the physics database, not the mathematics one, so your case may well be different.

I thought there were some QC students around, but there might just not be any doing the course you're looking for - TSR isn't busy enough to have a good cross-section of Durham students. :frown:

Was just wondering how you find the college, what the rooms are like? I've applied for Mary's but didn't get to see the rooms when I looked around, only the main JCR, dining hall etc bit :smile:

Are they tiny or relatively big? if anyone had any photos that would be great, the college website seems to be lacking in them!

I haven't heard from Durham yet, I just want to ask question about how life is at QC :smile: coz I think that my chosen course isn't a popular one, so expected that I don't meet students who studies the subject.

Just got an offer in, but it's changed my campus code from G to Z. Does that mean Grey rejected me but my dept accepted? What should I do? I only really liked Grey :/

Relax, that just means they're currently processing your college application and you can no longer change it (i.e. you're locked into your college preference.) :smile:

I got an email saying they'd acknowledged my application, however my head of sixth form told me that they don't give any offers out until January-February?
Thank you! And yes, I got an offer on Track, my acknowledgment email came through four or five weeks ago. I was a very early applicant. :biggrin:

And my housemaster said the same thing. I think some courses delay in the interest of fairness but some reply straight away. When did you apply?

Everybody's campus code is changed to Z. That's how it's gonna stay, even after you meet your offer. Don't worry about it; I got that last year as well.
So when does it change? How do we know when we've met our offer?

As far as I remember, it doesn't change on UCAS (either before or after you've met your offer) - the college contacts you directly with everything you need, after you've accepted Durham as your firm offer as well as when you get your place through grades.

I believe that with the new college allocation system, you'll hear in January at the earliest, once most of the offers have been made, but I'm not saying that for certain. I got my own offer on 29th January from my college, having been given my academic offer about two weeks or so beforehand :smile:
