Is there much 'talent' in Durham ? :teeth:


I was going to make some awkward joke about 'there will be if im coming up there' but it wouldnt even be funny, and most certainly not true....

although Id like to ask the same question from the POV of a girl :cool:

I only ever get ID'd at spoons.

In fact, a table of 7 of us got ID'd for ****** breakfast one day, at our bloody table after we'd ordered the food. Like 11:30 AM on a weekday.

Can I just ask a quick question: on the van mildert sight theres one of those quicktime twirly wirly pictures (I dont know what theyre called, i can barely turn a computer on) on the 'interative tour' sight. Which block is that bedroom in?

Its just that i only saw a Grey room when I went on the open day but now ill be in Mildert (in derwent and wear), I sort of want to know what the room will look like

All your stuff should be safe and sound in your room as long as you lock it when you're out. Although every year there's an incident where someone leaves a ground floor window open and gets their laptop nicked. But the chances are that you'll be up some stairs anyway.

Ok, a few questions from me- I just went to a trip to the Stockton Campus and was really impressed with the Applied Psychology course, so I've changed my UCAS application from straight Psychology in Durham to that, since it has a lower offer and can be used for a better insurance against Leeds Uni.

Okay- Is the accommodation decent?
Is is affordable?
Which is the better college, or are they both ok?

You are insane. Applied Psychology is poor compared to Psychology at Durham, look at the module list if you don't believe me.

The first year modules are disgustingly easy. For example the "IT Skills" module and "Statistics" module both do not reach A-level standard.

Plus the uni experience is much better in Durham itself, and hence how an employer would see you.

A while back they refused my ID (apparently I looked too young :o: ), then the manager showed up and ordered the guy to serve me whilst clipping him around the ear. Looks like I wont be needing my ID in there again :biggrin:
