Yes, but I would prefer the country to be ran by the left of the Labour party, not the right of it. Its a shame we can't get away with it.
Yes, but I'm on the left of the Labour party and would still shop at Waitrose if I could afford it. Why's this? Because they have a commitment to fair trade and organic food (ooh a dangerous right wing concept!) and the food is nice. I'm not going to shop at Lidl because of some deranged 'class solidarity'.

What you are forgetting here is that they have both become means for the richer people to absolve themselves of any kind of responsibility for the goings on in the world. The real problems in the third world are never going to get solved if people just hide behind sticking plasters, instead what is needed over there is good governance. When the world elites do something about that, let me know.
Asides, the Co-Op has the same values, whilst happening to be considerably cheaper. Other supermarkets offer a lot of fair-trade products, but they also recognise the masses may not always be able to afford them, especially with the extra premiums that get added on at the same time.
You're right, I've lost count of the amount of rahs who say 'I shop at Waitrose and thus I absolve myself of all social responsibility!'.
LOL. Remind me to rep you again in about a month.
I know buying fair trade and organic food is not going to magically cause world peace, but I still think it's better than not giving a **** at all. How Tory-tastic of me.
