usernames, passwords and all that
hey, sorry to start another thread about all this but i'm pretty confused about all the passwords and usernames we've got and what they're for.
so i've got:
a username which includes my ucas number which i got for that portal thing
the password for this, to do with my birthdate
a new username after registering, the same as the start of my e-mail addy
the password that came with this new username
the password that i changed this new password too
could someone please explain which ones i need and what i use them for?
it's just i wanted to find out if i could use the careers bit with the vacancies database before i go, but i can't work out which username and password i need and even if i've got them yet.

Forget the usernane and password to do with ucas and your birthdate. You don't need it anymore. Your new username which is the start of your email address is used for basically everything. The password which they gave you with this you need to remember because you will need it to access things like academic journals. The password you changed from the original is used with basically everything. So for the careers website you use your new username and the password you chose.
