I have absolutely no idea if they offer them but the one that immediately springs to mind would be the Scottish Parliament... Failing that, what sort of NGO are you thinking of? I know places like Oxfam offer internships (although I don't know if they offer them in Edinburgh) so perhaps looking at big charities, etc. like that would be an idea?

The Scottish Parliament does have a work experience programme, but it's very competitive. As for NGOs, ideally I am interested in one that direcly interacts with (or even lobbies) the parliament and deals with issues in Scottish politics, so that I will get exposure to the workings of the Scottish Parliament. A think tank would be great too.

Hi!

I would like to do an internship in the field of politics, political science, non-governmental organizations or a related field in Edinburgh. Does anyone have any recommendations of organizations etc. that I could apply to?

Thanks

I live in Edinburgh :woo:
I went to the Army for my work experience... lol a bit off but ah well

You could apply for an internship at Reform Scotland, a think tank based in Edinburgh. It is rather small, but friendly. You'll most likely do a media summary in the mornings and the policy research in the afternoons.

I had an internship there last year.
