I have been offered a place at East 15 Acting School on a one year foundation course. If I apply for student finance for this course, will this affect me applying for another student loan if I then get onto a BA Acting Course the following year?

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Stand alone 1 year foundation courses are not designated for higher education support meaning we would not provide any funding for it, which in turn would mean it wouldn't affect a degree application. If it is an integral part of a full degree we can look to fund it then.

Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me. What about if the one year course was for a certificate of Higher Education and not a foundation course?

Hi michaelmurray998

Apologies for the delay in replying.

If you were to do a CertHE, you would be able to get funding for this (if eligible) and to top-up to degree level.
We fund foundation degrees just not single foundation courses.

Thanks
