Nagasaki and Hiroshima
Pearl Harbour
Korean War
Vietnam War

Divided Germany - tear down this wall!

Iran-Iraq War

Exxon Valdez spill
Wall Street crash
Madellín cartel.

Does any history student or anyone with a historical perspective have any views on these and/or their consequences? That would be much appreciated!

Nagasaki/Hiroshima:
Credited as the death blow to Japan and signified the end the War in the Pacific (and WW2)
Significance- First use of mass nuclear weapons in warfare. Caused centuries of ethical debates within scholarly circles.

Pearl Harbour:
Galvanised America to start to get involved in World War II
Significance- Made American People support American Involvement in WW2, Japanese miscalculated and didn't completely destroy America's Pacific fleet which was instrumental in America's Pacific Campaign against Japan during the war.

Korean War:
One of the first war conflicts during the Cold War, North Korean Communist Government vs. South Korean Democratic Government
Significance- Ideological battle manifested in warfare in the Korean Peninsula, One of the first wars America didn't "win". Creation of NK and SK who are technically still at war today.

Will continue posting later... class now
