Hey all,

I think this would be an interesting discussion - how our supposed IQs compare to eachother relative to our GCSE results.

Use this site:

http://www.myiqtested.com/

Rules:

- Don't Lie about your result, if none or not many of us have done the IQ test before then it is going to be fair results (the more you do it the better you'll get but that's not the point!)
- Give your GCSE results by grades (and subjects if you want)
- Say how hard you worked on your GCSEs from a scale of 1-5, 1 being not at all, 5 being revision like absolute mad.

My scores:
7A*s and 3As at GCSE
IQ: 117 (being honest, it is probably higher but the more I practise the higher the score will get - but that isn't the point, first time only please so we can compare fairly!)

I think this will be pretty interesting to see how we our GCSE vs IQs compare

IQ Mean Average: 135
GCSE Grades: 2 A's 2 B's 4 C's 2 E's
I didn't revise until 3 weeks before exams, still don't know why till this day, but I guess it was just a really hard time for me...
Also my 2 E's were in Drama (didn't show up to most of a lot of my lessons and gave up on the subject so I submitted course work written in a day and practised like 10 minutes before my piece LOL) and in Computer Science in which my teacher was ill so we played CS for a good portion of the year, not to mention that when we did have lessons I was too easily distracted, lol IQ won't do you any good if you don't focus and study enough...

IQ: Above test (on a good computer) - 125
Average: Around 131
GCSEs: 4As (Maths and Science), 3Bs and 3Cs

Effort - About a 5 for Maths and Science, 1/2 for the rest. However I was diagnosed at A2 level with Dyslexia, which explained why I always struggled at essay and writing subjects like English and R.E. Always good at Science and visual-logic based subjects like Organic Chemistry.

IQ: 110 (just into the above average range)
GCSE: pending.

You have good word comprehension skills and perform well at language based tasks such as writing an article or understanding written works.
You are not a very visual person and do not have strong visual analysis skills. More work in this area, such as studying art works or taking up photography would be of benefit to you.
What a load of ****.

My ridiculously slow internet isn't actually generating all the different symbols, it seems. So I can't do that test. However, I received 133 on the only reasonable online IQ test I've ever done. Obviously there are loads where you get like 160 or whatever lol. At GCSE I got 7A*s and 2As. Did better at A-level though.

IQ: 152 on that test (some of the symbols in the first test didn't show up :/)
GCSEs: Waiting on them (I'm year 11 starting sixth form next year), but I already have 4 A*s from some I did early.

I really don't trust online IQ tests. Or any test for that matter. I did two formal tests a few years ago and got 132 and 162 - I think they were different standard deviations though. But measuring intelligence based on how well you can fill in a bunch of lines in HB pencil seems rather silly.
