Here is my order of reaction, I don't get the order of it. Surely if you have converted the molecule into an ester, when you react it with conc Hcl, it will break up the ester wouldn't it. Also will my answer still be acceptable ?

Not a bad attempt! However, you've correctly seen the issue - if you expose the ester to acidic conditions, you risk hydrolysis.

How could you change the order to prevent this?
